California Republic Soccer Club – Terms and Conditions of Registration

1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering your child (“the Participant”) with California Republic Soccer Club, you (“the Parent/Guardian”) agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the Club regarding participation in all domestic and international activities, including training sessions, tournaments, and travel programs.
2. Eligibility
Participants must meet all age, academic, and health requirements established by the Club and governing soccer organizations. The Parent/Guardian affirms that the Participant is physically fit and capable of full participation.
3. Registration and Payment
a. Non-Refundable Deposit: A deposit, as stated on the registration form, is due at the time of registration. This deposit is non-refundable under any circumstance, including withdrawal or cancellation.
b. Automatic Payments: By registering, the Parent/Guardian authorizes the Club to process automatic recurring payments for the balance of fees according to the Club’s published payment schedule.
c. Late Payments: Failure to make timely payments may result in the suspension or termination of the Participant’s eligibility to participate.
d. Returned Payments: Any returned payment or declined transaction will incur an administrative fee determined by the Club.
4. Cancellation and Refund Policy
All fees paid are non-refundable, except in cases where the Club cancels an event and does not offer a reasonable replacement program. Refunds, if any, will be determined at the sole discretion of the Club’s Board of Directors.
5. Travel Requirements
a. Documentation: Parents/Guardians are responsible for ensuring that the Participant holds a valid passport, visas, and any other required travel documents.
b. Conduct During Travel: Participants must adhere to all travel itineraries, safety guidelines, and curfews established by the Club’s staff.
c. Accommodation and Supervision: The Club may arrange accommodations, including hotels or approved group housing, and assign chaperones for supervision.
d. Parental Acknowledgment: The Parent/Guardian acknowledges that travel to and from international destinations involves risks, including but not limited to transportation delays, illness, injury, or political unrest.
6. Code of Conduct
a. Athlete Conduct: Participants must demonstrate respect, sportsmanship, and discipline on and off the field. Misconduct, including use of drugs, alcohol, or abusive behavior, may result in immediate dismissal from the program without refund.
b. Parent Conduct: Parents are expected to uphold the Club’s values and respect coaching decisions, officials, and tournament protocols.
c. Disciplinary Action: The Club reserves the right to remove any Participant or Parent who fails to comply with behavioral standards.
7. Medical Authorization and Liability Waiver
a. Medical Consent: The Parent/Guardian authorizes the Club’s staff or designated medical personnel to administer emergency medical treatment if necessary.
b. Health Disclosure: The Parent/Guardian must disclose any medical conditions, allergies, or medications pertaining to the Participant.
c. Assumption of Risk: Participation in athletic and travel activities inherently involves risk of injury or illness. The Parent/Guardian voluntarily assumes all risks on behalf of the Participant.
d. Waiver of Liability: The Parent/Guardian hereby releases and holds harmless the Club, its directors, officers, coaches, volunteers, sponsors, and affiliates from any and all claims arising from participation, travel, or related activities.
8. Insurance
Parents/Guardians are responsible for maintaining adequate health and travel insurance coverage for the Participant during all Club-related events. Proof of insurance may be required prior to travel.
9. Media and Publicity Release
The Parent/Guardian grants the Club the irrevocable right to photograph, film, or record the Participant during Club activities and to use such media for promotional, educational, or informational purposes without compensation.
10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California. Any disputes arising hereunder shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Sacramento County, California, pursuant to the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
11. Acknowledgment
By signing the registration form or completing online registration, the Parent/Guardian acknowledges having read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. This acknowledgment constitutes a legal and binding acceptance of all provisions herein.
