Frequently asked questions
A: Your child’s safety is our top priority. All CRSC trips are led and supervised by trusted staff and chaperones who are also parents. Every aspect of the trip from airport check-in to hotel stays and free time is organized with safety, supervision, and communication in mind. EVERYONE who is a chaperone has been live scanned and background checks are completed.
A: Each group of players is assigned 2–3 experienced chaperones who remain with the team from departure to return. These chaperones are responsible for:
Team check-in at the airport and hotel
Conducting room safety checks before players enter
Managing team meals, game schedules, and supervised free time
Maintaining communication with parents/guardians
Ensuring access to the emergency call system
Accompanying players during any medical visits or care needs
A: Yes. Curfews are clearly communicated to players each day and are strictly enforced by CRSC chaperones. Bed checks are conducted nightly to ensure all players are accounted for, settled safely in their rooms, and well-rested for the next day’s schedule. We take rest and structure seriously to ensure athletes can perform at their best.
A: General travel insurance (covering trip cancellations, baggage loss, or delays) is not included in the CRSC travel package. We recommend that you get medical for your athlete while traveling. This medical coverage applies in case of injury or illness and ensures your athlete has access to appropriate care while abroad. If families wish to purchase additional travel insurance for extra peace of mind, we encourage them to do so independently through a third-party provider.
A: All team accommodations are assigned by the tournament organizers. Once our team receives its official hotel assignment, we will promptly share the full details with parents and guardians, including hotel name, address, and amenities.
You can expect the team to stay in a 3–4 star hotel that meets tournament standards for cleanliness, safety, and proximity to the event venues. CRSC works closely with tournament partners to ensure the accommodations are comfortable and secure for all players.
A: Meals are not included in the travel package, with the exception of breakfast, which is typically provided by the hotel each morning. Players will be responsible for covering the cost of lunch, dinner, and snacks during the trip.
CRSC chaperones will assist players with meal planning, ensure access to appropriate dining options, and help coordinate group meals as needed.
A: Yes—parents are welcome to speak with their child at any time during the trip. All athletes are allowed to bring their personal cell phones, and they are encouraged to stay in touch regularly.
In addition, CRSC coaches and chaperones will carry designated phones that are available to parents 24/7 in case of urgent questions or concerns. We prioritize open, timely communication throughout the entire travel experience to ensure peace of mind for both players and families.
A: While CRSC does not run multiple fundraisers throughout the year, we do offer one optional team fundraiser at the start of the season for families who would like to participate. This fundraiser will run for one month, and any funds raised can be directly applied toward your athlete’s travel costs. Participation is completely voluntary, but it's a great way to reduce your out-of-pocket expenses while supporting the team effort.
Refund Policy
Deposits are non-refundable. The initial $500 deposit secures your athlete’s (and any accompanying traveler’s) spot and is used to reserve accommodations, transportation, and registration. This amount is non-refundable under any circumstances.
Monthly payments are partially refundable prior to deadlines. Payments made beyond the deposit may be refunded if cancellation is submitted in writing before February 1st. After this date, CRSC begins finalizing travel and lodging arrangements, and no refunds will be issued.
After February 1st, all payments are non-refundable. Due to vendor commitments, international reservations, and team coordination, we are unable to provide refunds after this deadline.
In case of injury, illness, or family emergency: If your athlete is unable to travel for a verified medical or family emergency, CRSC will make every reasonable effort to recover any non-transferable costs. However, refunds are not guaranteed beyond what vendors are willing to return.
Trip insurance is not included. Families are encouraged to purchase independent travel insurance to protect against unforeseen cancellations or disruptions.
A: Player selection is based on performance during a designated tryout held for each age group. Tryout dates will be announced and communicated directly to interested families. Coaches will evaluate players on technical ability, tactical understanding, effort, and team fit.
Participation in international travel is a competitive opportunity, and final rosters will be determined by CRSC coaching staff based on both skill and readiness for travel.
A: Yes. We recommend that all players—and any family members attending—bring spending money for meals (lunch and dinner), snacks, and souvenirs during the trip. While breakfast is typically included at the hotel, other daily expenses will not be covered.
Please plan accordingly based on the destination and duration of the trip. Chaperones will help guide players to safe, age-appropriate meal and shopping options throughout the experience.
A: A combination of both is best. We suggest:
A small amount of local currency in cash for quick purchases (converted at your bank before departure)
A prepaid debit card or reloadable travel card for safety and convenience
Avoid sending your child with a personal credit card unless they are experienced with managing it
A: Yes. If your child is bringing a debit or credit card, you should notify your bank or card provider of the international travel dates and destination(s) before the trip begins. This helps prevent the bank from flagging or freezing the card due to suspicious foreign activity.
Let them know:
The countries your child will be visiting (e.g., Spain, Sweden)
The dates of the trip
That the cardholder (you or your child) will be using the card abroad, possibly for small daily transactions
Most banks offer an easy way to do this through their mobile app, website, or by calling customer service. This simple step can help avoid declined purchases or account locks while overseas.
